GENERAL BODY MEETING HELD: The General body meeting was held on 27th October 09 as per the agenda. After the welcome note by the District President Com. S. P. Sonawane, the District Secretary appraised the house on the various development issues, the restructuring and the balance sheet of the Pune SSA. The house has applauded Com. D.R.Bhogade for receiving the sanchar seva padak. After elaborate discussions the following resolutions were passed.
It was unanimously decided to contribute the delegation fee of Rs.200/- by each member for the District conference. All the members will pay it on the day of conference at venue.
All the pending dues to be cleared by each member before the conference.
The donations of Rs.1000/- to be paid to the associations.
All the members will fill up the new mandate form for deduction form Axis Bank salary account for monthly deduction of Rs. 40/- only. Those members who have changed their bank account to standard chartered bank will revert their salary accounts to Axis Bank due to poor services by standard chartered bank.
For the smooth functioning of the conference the committees of volunteers for food, transport, hall arrangement, reception and accounts were formed.
The proposal given by the management for JTO’s to look after as SDE’s in rural was completely rejected by the general body. The transfer policy guidelines issued by corporate office needs to be implemented.

SCHEME AND SYLLABUS FOR LDCE FROM JTO (T) TO SDE (T) NOTIFIED: Consistent efforts of SNEA (India) resulted in this notification and change of scheme into OMR system even though some groups tried their best to stop the LDCE as last time. The examination will be on OMR evaluation basis. There will be two papers of 100 marks each with 3 hours duration. The minimum pass mark for each paper will be 50% for 'OC' and 45% for 'SC/ST'. DE cell will issue separate notification intimating the date and time.

NO RELAXATION IN LDCE: The corporate office has rejected the demand for relaxation of marks in LDCE held in 2007 stating the reason of dilution of merit not allowed in RR’s. We fail to understand the logic and concept behind this as many of the officials have got one mark less in either of the question paper, because of the improper evaluation of question papers. ERNAKULUM COURT ADMITS MT RECRUITMENT CASE: Hon. Central administrative Tribunal, Ernakulum bench admits OA No. 672/2009 filed by SNEA (India), CHQ against the discriminations in age/qualification in the Intl quota for MT Rect. All members desirous of appearing in the MT Rect. (Intl quota) may apply immediately before the last date ie. 14th October 09.
