CR & VR CALLED FOR NEXT SDE TO DE OFFTG SPELL: The MH circle has called for the CR and VR for the next spell of SDE to DE officiating of 196 SDE’s. SUBMIT PROPOSED SAVING DETAILS FOR INCOME TAX: The Accounts officer, Pune has appealed to all to submit the details of proposed saving for income tax purposes for the year 2011-12. COURT CASE ON JTO TO SDE PROMOTION: In the SC/ST roster case, Hon CAT, Chennai orders status quo (not stay) on promotion from JTO to SDE because of non submission of copy of updated roster by BSNL. After submission of updated roster, the case is expected to be set aside on 3rd June, 2011. The case is adjourned to 3rd June because the Hon Court is going on summer vacation.
The case regarding preparation of All India Eligibility list is postponed to 08.06.2011.
The case at Hon PCAT, New Delhi on LDCE from JTO to SDE was heard on 15.04.2011 instead of 14.04.2011(holiday). The hearing will be continued on 12.05.2011.

4th CIRCLE CONFERENCE CONCLUDED: The grand and historical two days 4th Circle conference concluded in the beautiful city of Nanded. Two days deliberations were held on various organisational matter, HR issues and viability of BSNL. Com. G.L. Jogi had addressed the gathering on both days in fire brand speech directing the SNEA members to stress on growth and development issues. He also stressed on improvement and quality of services.
Com S.P. Sonawane was elected as CWC member and Com. Bharat Sonawane was elected as Joint secretary unanimously. SNEA Pune heartily congratulates to these leaders elected from Pune and all the representatives elected for other posts from across Maharashtra.
4th CIRCLE CONFERENCE UPDATE: The DS along with CWC member Com. S. P. Sonawane, Area Secretary Chinchwad Com. Bharat Sonawane, and two delegates Com. V.R. Chaudhari and Com. K. H. Jawle has reached Nanded today. They will attend the PRE- CEC meeting tomorrow.

Proud comrades of TN Circle lead the race – Truly living to their age old profound commitment towards building erstwhile JETA(I) from scratches, then JTOA(I), TEOA(I), and now SNEA(I), our beloved Comrades of TN Circle have not at all lost their thirst to further build their beloved organization SNEA(I). Comrades of TN Circle have yet again maintained their glory by deciding to donate Rs 10 Lakhs towards CHQ building fund. In fact, in their recent Circle office bearers meeting, 17 Circle office bearers donated Rs 1.34 lakhs towards building fund. Similar effort has also started in MH Circle on a war footing basis. Unfortunately, in most of the Circles, serious initiative towards mobilization of CHQ building fund is yet to start.
Our activists and base level members throughout the Country have to appreciate that huge funds are exhausted towards meeting legal expenses. Association is involved in large number of court cases to defend provisions of existing RRs to ensure smooth career growth of its members. In fact, at Chennai itself, Association is involved in a number of litigations as respondents and has engaged quality lawyers to defend the legitimate interests of its members. Besides, Association is involved in litigations in Hon Supreme Court, CAT Delhi, CAT Ernakulam, Ernakulam High Court etc. Huge and huge expenditure is being incurred on legal cases which are piling up. We have not filed any application to seek relief, we have only impleaded as respondents to defend ourselves, except in case of recruitment of MTs in CAT/ND where we challenged the eligibility restrictions imposed in terms of age and qualification for appearing in the examination for MTs.
In keeping with the decision of CWC Bhopal, we have also purchased a three storeyed sturdy, three side open building on 24x48 ft. in posh colony of Ramesh Nagar. The new building that will be new home of our beloved Comrades is just about 50 meters from Ramesh Nagar and it takes about 25 minutes to reach Ramesh Nagar from New Delhi Railway station by metro. Our new home is full of quality wood work, tiles, stones and modern wash rooms. In the front, it has two beautiful parks. The total cost of the building is about Rs 3.0 crores and the entire payment is to be made by 15th May, 2011.
In this context, it is thus surprising that majority of Circles have not initiated any serious effort to collect building+legal donation @Rs 500/- per member as decided in our CWC Bhopal. It is really very unfortunate, sad and un-understandable as to how Circles/SSAs/Branches are utterly disregarding the decision that they only have taken in CWC Bhopal. As far as CHQ is concerned, it has not left any stone unturned in meeting the career aspirations of its members despite very serious and virtually insurmountable legal obstacles that it had to face. Even without receiving monthly subscription from a large number of Circles for more than year, CHQ is making all efforts to clear all pending welfare claim cases, despite severe financial constraints. All this has to be duly recognized, appreciated and acted upon.
However, without feeling any further need to make fresh and repeated appeals to donate towards building + legal donation, which does not somehow fit into the highly rich traditions and culture of our great beloved Organization, we leave the whole issue of building + legal donation @ Rs 500/- member to the commitment and wisdom of our activists and grass root members.
ALL OUR MEMBERS SHOULD COME FORWARD AND DONATE RS. 500/- FOR THE BUILDING AND LEGAL FUND.
POSTING ORDERS OF JTO TO SDES PROMOTION AGAINST 67% QUOTA ISSUED: MH Circle today released orders for posting of SDEs promoted under 67% quota. Most Of the executives are posted in their respective SSA. Whereas there are 11 executives posted outside Pune SSA, mainly due to shortfall of justified vacancies. CASE AT HON CHENNAI CAT ON JTO TO SDE PROMOTION: The case, OA 36 listed for today. Meanwhile the applicants filed an application praying for interim injunction of the operation of the promotion order dated 30.03.2011. BSNL as well as our lawyer strongly opposed the prayer for injunction of the operation of the order as there is no violation of the earlier direction of the Hon CAT. Hon CAT not granted injunction on the operation of the promotion order. The case is posted for 20.04.2011.

LUNCH HOUR DEMONSTRATIONS HELD: As per the CHQ call, the JAC, Pune held lunch hour demonstrations in front of O/o PGMT, Pune on 5th April 2011. The leaders addressed the mass gathering and explained the importance of the issues in today’s critical conditions of the company. SNEA (I) leader Com. S.P. LUNCH HOUR DEMONSTRATIONS: CHQ JAC decided to hold protest demonstration throughout the Country on 05.04.2011 against A) Proposal of retrenchment through VRS, B) Reduction of retirement age from 60 to 58 and C) Proposal to merge ITI with BSNL. The lunch hour demonstrations will be held on 05.04.2011, from 1.30 pm to 2.00 pm, in front of O/o PGMT, Satara Road, Pune, under the banner of JAC, Pune. Acting on those strong worded letters Hon’ble CGMT MH Circle has arranged a special meeting for discussions on the issues raised by SNEA(I) MH Circle, which was attended by CS Com.M.S.Adasul, CT Com. P.N. Patil and from management side it was represented by Shri. B. K. Agarwal, Sr. GM HR & Admn, Shri. A.K.Sahu GM EB Gold Mumbai, Shri. Saurabh Gupta GM Mobile Mumbai, Shri. Narayanan DGM Fin Mumbai.
Association clarified all the doubts and fears on basis of actual facts and figures as per feedback given By Com. Vivek Wankhede DS SNEA(I) Pune and his team. After which Today CGMT MH has issued instructions for renewal of Maha Krushi plan under prepaid up to 30thJune 2011. It is further clarified that this scheme for existing customers will continue in existing plan and applications postpaid connections received upto 31st March 2011 will be activated upto 15th April 2011.

SNEA MEMBER SAVES 2.86 LAKHS: In unison with the SNEA (I) commitment to growth and development, the members are making all their best efforts to save the losses, thus earnings to BSNL. It is being said that “money saved is money earned” our strong member Mrs. Savita. C. Shoor, JTO (Alandi), made the efforts to get the discount on MSEB bill and saved 2.86 lakhs for BSNL. She has received the bill of Rs. 6.7 lakh for 13 months from MSEDCL, and after going through it, she was amazed to see that the bill was exorbitant. With the help of our electrical wing, she got checked the meter and found that the CT was mismatching with the MSEDCL meter and the MF factor was also incorrect. Then she pursued the case with the MSEDCL authorities, at Bhosari, Alandi and also met the Executive Engineer of MSEDCL. After, due verification by the MSEDCL authorities, the discount / rebate of Rs. 2.86 lakhs was given to BSNL.
